2026 D.FESTA Small Theater Festival

About this event

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the <2026 D.FESTA Small Theater Festival> has strived to lead the way toward a better performing arts culture by identifying changes in the domestic creative and production landscape and the direction of the performing arts market. This festival is at the forefront of exploring new avenues for experimental and creative small theater performances and discovering the limitless possibilities of the stage. Since 2016, the festival has worked to bridge cultural gaps through nationwide regional exchanges in cities such as Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, and Busan, and has consistently sought to expand its reach through cultural exchanges with overseas performance groups. As a result, this year we are able to visibly showcase the fruits of our global cultural exchanges—built through the “Asia Co-creation Project” with Asian countries such as Japan (Sapporo and Tokyo), China, and Taiwan, through the “Asia Joint Creation Project” and “Small Theater Festival in Tokyo,” we are now able to tangibly showcase the fruits of our long-standing global cultural exchanges. D.FESTA now aims to evolve from a domestic event into a world-class festival. Moving forward, we will further strengthen our partnerships with leading festivals and arts organizations around the world to spearhead the globalization of South Korea’s small theater culture. We hope that this 20th-anniversary festival will serve as a meaningful stepping stone to showcase outstanding domestic performances on the world stage and foster a deeper understanding of global cultural trends. · Open to all (age ratings vary by performance) · All seats: 30,000 won
